To ensure compliance with the Gambling Act 2005 and Licensing Act 2003 we operate a Think 25 policy.
This requires any person who looks under 25, to be asked to provide proof of age for admission, betting and drinking.
Acceptable forms of I.D. include:
Full Photocard Driving Licence
Provisional Photocard Driving Licence
UK or International Passport
ID bearing the PASS logo (e.g. Citizen Card)
Military Identification Card
Please note that we are unable to accept photographs of I.D. - All I.D. must be physically presented for verification.
Entry policy - Please be aware that under 18's will not be admitted to the stadium without being accompanied by a person aged 21 or over. We are also unable to provide under 18's with a racecard.
Whilst we are a family friendly establishment and welcome children to the stadium we would kindly ask that:
• In the interest of safety, all children in the stadium must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Any children found unaccompanied will be asked to return to their parents or guardians.
• It is against the law for anyone under the age of 18 to place a bet. We cannot accept bets from over 18's on behalf of children.
• For the safety of spectators and greyhounds, we ask that all customers to refrain from climbing or leaning over the track side railings. This includes the lifting of children.
This is in the best interest of your children and we thank you for your co-operation.
A greyhound will typically retire from racing between the ages of 2-5, and once they’ve hung up their racing boots they need a sofa to lie on and call their own! Greyhounds are commonly referred to as “couch potatoes” – They love a sofa! These amazing animals reach speeds of up to 45mph on the track for 30 seconds of racing, yet sleep for up to 18 hours a day!
Could you provide for one (or more!) of our furry friends? Here at Romford Stadium, we look after our greyhounds very well both during their sporting career and in their retirement.
We partner with four local greyhound homing centres who find forever homes for our retired greyhounds. They also provide medical attention as and when needed as well as grooming and spaying/neutering. Every year we donate thousands of pounds to our affiliated homing centres to secure a healthy and happy lifestyle for our retired greyhounds.
If you want to give a home to our lovely retired greyhounds or want to know more about greyhounds after racing, please visit our partner's websites.
